2022

SECOND ATTEMPT

In 2022 CGAN decided to update its dossier of evidence and resubmit it to The Met Police, again asking for a criminal investigation.

We were aware that a new Met Commissioner was to be appointed who had pledged to stamp down on corruption and promised to police without fear or favour, so this represented an ideal opportunity to ask again.

Judges were also being written to who heard climate protest cases informing them of the miscarriage of justice associated with the police refusal to use UK legislation to stop the key climate criminals, while prosecuting those trying peacefully to stop those who kill through the policies that drive climate breakdown.

Here is the updated dossier of evidence. Note that the names of the accused have been redacted.

Here is the covering letter of 21 September 2022 to The Met Commissioner.

Police records show that a reply was issued on 24 October 2022 again rejecting the case. But the letter never arrived. Upon sending a further letter and reminder The Met sent the letter of rejection by email. That email, with the letter was sent on 2 December 2022. On 9 December CGAN replied.

On 4 January 2023 The Met sent an email indicating that others were interested in this case and a more detailed response would be issued soon. See the correspondence in the Case Proven folder.
